Feathers in the Sky

Feathers in the sky
My oh my!
How do your branches reach up so high?

Feathers in the sky
I wonder why
Do you ever wish that you could fly?

Feathers in the sky
Gave a reply
We have a lot of roots, but we sure can try!

Feathers in the sky
They gave it a try
A big wind blew and I heard a sigh...

Feathers in the sky
Waved good bye
Back and forth across the sky.

Feathers in the sky
My oh my!
You have a lot of roots but you really can fly!

Hello, Christine! I have to say that this poem is so beautiful and there is nothing I can say about it but good words. I know that some people might say that it's too short. Well, poems don't need to be lengthy, isn't it? As long as the poem as touched your heart and there message was clearly delivered, then the poet succeeded on his try to deliver a message ands touches the heart of the readers. The topic was simple, yet you were able to make profound ideas from it.
